About GIVE 5

Give 5 is an innovative, free, community-based program designed to match participants with nonprofit organizations addressing our community’s primary areas of need and to help reestablish purpose and meaning in retirement. 

Give 5 provides retirees with the opportunity to go behind the scenes of nonprofit organizations and public service agencies. Over three program days, classmates visit area organizations, getting an understanding of the volunteer opportunities and needs these organizations address. 

At the end of the program, participants are asked to commit to volunteering five hours per month to the cause(s) of their choice.
